Getting great results from your treatment doesn't end when you leave the clinic. Here's exactly what to do — and avoid — in the days following your appointment.
After Botox: the first 24 hours
Avoid touching, pressing, or massaging the treated areas for 24 hours. Do not lie down flat for four hours post-treatment, and avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, and alcohol for 24 hours. These precautions help prevent the product migrating to unintended areas.
After dermal fillers
Mild swelling and bruising is normal and typically resolves within 48 to 72 hours. Apply a cold compress — not directly on skin — for short intervals in the first few hours. Avoid dental work, facial massages, and intense heat exposure for two weeks post-treatment.
After HydraFacial
Your skin may feel slightly sensitive for a few hours but there is no real downtime. Avoid retinol, AHAs, and active exfoliants for 48 hours. Wear SPF 30 or above the following day — your skin's barrier has been opened and UV protection is essential.
After chemical peels
Depending on the depth of peel, expect 2 to 7 days of peeling and sensitivity. Do not pick or peel skin manually. Use the prescribed gentle cleanser and moisturiser only. SPF is non-negotiable. The skin is highly vulnerable to hyperpigmentation if exposed to UV during the healing phase.
After laser hair removal
Redness and mild heat in the treated area is normal for 24 hours. Avoid hot baths, swimming pools, saunas, and tight clothing over treated areas for 48 hours. Apply aloe vera or prescribed soothing gel. Avoid sun exposure for two weeks and use SPF 50 on any exposed treated areas.
